This activity by the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and People's Committee held in Can Tho City and Hau rivers embankments, Cai Khe Ward, Ninh Kieu District. More than 1,000 delegates from Japan, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar and Vietnam will attend the festival. The highlight of this event focus is high-level seminar on "Mekong - the river connecting cultures" and discuss the connection between cultural tourism in cooperation with the Mekong - Japan for the sustainable development and prosperity between the Mekong - Japan. Besides there are other activities fairs, scientific workshops, photo exhibitions, tourism - cultural, performing arts, sports .... This event marked the beginning of the long-term cooperation between the Mekong region countries and Japan in foreign relations.
